About the Shirt Committee
As a tradition and a fundraiser for the July 4th celebration, the Catonsville 4th of July Committee meets each year to discuss a shirt design based on the theme for the parade that year. With the help from a local artist, Ken Pittman, the final t-shirt design came to fruition and was printed by EmbroidMe of Catonsville. Our t-shirts are a favorite with residents from Catonsville and the surrounding areas from year to year.
This year’s t-shirt design proclaims Catonsville’s fireworks as the “Best Fireworks in Maryland.” Ken Pittman, who designed the t-shirt with the cicada in 2004, designed this year’s shirt. The back also includes a map of the parade route with the question, “Where’s Your Chair?”
