Please read the parade and fireworks rules/terms below before applying.

Parade Vendor Rules/Terms

  1. The Catonsville Parade will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011. The parade will be held rain or shine.
  2. All vendors must be insured and food vendors must be pre-approved through Baltimore County or the State of Maryland. Vendors will need to send proof of insurance and a current Baltimore County or Maryland Health Department certificate with their application.
  3. The fee for all vendors is $125. This fee must be sent with your application. No refunds will be made for cancellation or removal for cause.
  4. All vendors must provide “carnival” related, family friendly items and services. No business, political, direct sales, yard sale, or informational applications will be accepted.
  5. Items prohibited for sale include silly string, alcoholic beverages, fireworks/sparklers, and shocking devices.
  6. Vendors must obey the Parade Marshals and follow their instructions during the parade. Vendors must not impede parade flow in any manner.
  7. Vendors can begin sales at 2 p.m. and must cease sales at 6 p.m.
  8. Please take all trash (packing, boxes, wrapping) with you. A $50 clean up fee will be applied to those who fail to clean up or leave boxes/bags along parade route.
  9. Sales tax collection and payment are the vendor’s responsibility.
  10. The Committee reserves the right to refuse application once we have reached our capacity of vendors. The Committee does not guarantee exclusivity on any item.
  11. We agree to hold harmless the Catonsville 4th of July Committee (C4JC) and its representatives for any damages we may suffer or cause and to secure such a promise from all employees.
  12. The Catonsville 4th of July Committee (C4JC) will be taking electronic images and photographs of the parade, the crowd and vendors. I understand that these images may be sold at our on-line site or used to promote the parade and the parade activities. I give my permission to be photographed and/or videotaped.

Fireworks Vendor Rules/Terms

  1. The Catonsville Fireworks Celebration will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011. If the celebration has to be canceled for weather-related reasons, the event will be held on Monday, July 9, 2011. If both days are canceled due to weather, they will not be rescheduled. A full refund will be returned to vendors if both events are canceled.
  2. All vendors must be insured and food vendors must be pre-approved through Baltimore County or the State of Maryland. Vendors will need to send proof of insurance and a current Baltimore County or Maryland Health Department certificate with their application.
  3. Each booth area will consist of a 10’ X 10’ area and the cost is $200.00 for food vendors, $100.00 for non-food vendors. The fee must be sent with the application. If possible, please include a photo of your booth (optional, but appreciated). No refunds will be made for cancelleation or removal for cause.
  4. Non-food vendors must provide “carnival” related, family friendly services. No business, political, direct sales, yard sale, or informational entries will be accepted.
  5. Exhibitors will provide their own equipment such as tables, tents and chairs. No electricity is available.
  6. Setup time is 5–6:30 p.m. Valley Road will be closed at 5 p.m. Please note that the Catonsville Parade (1 mile north of CHS site) will end at approximately 5 p.m. and traffic may be heavy between 4:45 and 5:30 p.m. Please plan accordingly. If vendors arrive early, they can park on the CHS Valley Road parking lot until the road is closed at 5 p.m. Do not set up in the parking lot. Please present your vendor pass, if requested. Please print your vendor pass after payment when prompted.
  7. All vendors must stop operating at 10 p.m. The police will open the road at 10:40 p.m., so pack up as soon as possible.
  8. Please provide waste receptacles with plastic liners and empty frequently. Please take your trash with you. A $50.00 clean up fee will be applied to those who fail to clean up or leave bags.
  9. Sales tax collection and payment are the exhibitor’s responsibility.
  10. Each entry will only be allowed to sell the products approved by the Catonsville 4th of July Committee. Toys or light-up novelty items may not be sold as this right is given exclusively to Catonsville Men’s Civic Association. The Committee reserves the right to refuse application on basis of duplication of food or services. The Committee does not guarantee exclusivity on any food item. Fireworks Vendors: Valley Road will be closed at 5 p.m. sharp on Monday, July 4, 2011. Vendors will be lined along the eastbound side of Valley Road (near golf course). If you arrive early, pull into the parking lot. The attendant will have all vendors on a list and will allow you to enter. Do not set up in the parking lot or the road until it is officially closed at 5 p.m. All vendors must be set up by 6:30 p.m. and stop operating at 10 p.m. Road reopens at 10:40 p.m.
