Every year, Opie’s Snowball Stand in the 1600 block of Edmondson at Dutton Ave, holds a fundraiser for the July 4th Committee and donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to the parade and fireworks fund.
Additionally, the young employees at Opie’s are donating their tips. Customers will also have an opportunity to purchase July 4th shirts. Shirts will be on sale July 1st from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Since 1947, a dedicated group of volunteers plan for every detail of this annual tradition and they love doing it. One member, Tom Connor, has been a member for over 50 years! Support the work of the Catonsville 4th of July Committee by making a donation and keep this tradition alive for future generations.
